How many Broadway show titles include a U.S. state?
Over the weekend, I watched Iowa, an Off Broadway play at Playwrights Horizons that is in previews, and it made me wonder how many Broadway shows were named with U.S. states. I did a search on PlayBill Vault, and found 93 shows that included a state in its title (I did not count shows with state names that were being used as people's names, such as "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?").
This dataset was compiled from Playbill Vault searches and may not be comprehensive, particularly for shows in the 1800s. Shows searched range from those that opened in the 1840s to the present.

Years when shows with state names in their title first debuted on Broadway
The last Broadway show to have a U.S. state in its name was Jersey Boys in Nov. 2005.
Note: Counts do not include show revivals.
